Filmtracks.com Advertisement Media Kit
Ad Specifications
All specifications apply to all ads, whether hosted by Filmtracks.com or by a
different server of the advertiser's choice.
- Ads must be in working order before being sent to Filmtracks.com.
- Filmtracks.com will not be responsible for incorrectly trafficked ads.
- Faulty ads will be sent back to the agency/advertiser to fix, and no makegoods
will be provided for a late start date due to an ad that does not meet our specs.
- Rich Media ads must be individually negotiated and submitted at least ten (10)
business days prior to launch for testing purposes.
- A maximum of five ad images per placement may be submitted.
- New ad images/text to be added to, or exchanged into, an existing campaign may
be submitted weekly.
Relative Content
Filmtracks.com will outright refuse ads pointing to (or depicting) pornography, gambling, violence, or religion. Most
specifically, all online poker ad queries will be ignored! Some
topics that fall too far from the subjects of movies and music could possibly be refused as well.
Lead Time
All ad images/text must allow for a production deadline of three (3) business days,
with the exception of Rich Media, which must allow for a lead time of ten (10)
business days; this period does not account for agency revisions to the code.
Change Order Policy
The above production deadlines apply. A Change Order must be completed stating the
advertiser, the date of the original insertion order that this is changing, and
what is being changed. Changes to an existing campaign must be received at least
three business days prior to the change.
Ad Formats and Size Limits
- Leaderboard (728 x 90): 30K
- Regular (468 x 60): 30K
- Button (125 x 90): 15K
- Skyscraper (160 x 600): 30K
- Square (160 x 160): 20K
- Pop-Up Rectangle (300 x 150): 25K
- Text Ads: Variable lengths (including spaces) depending on section
Please contact Filmtracks.com directly for other details regarding file size
limits. GIF and JPG file formats should be 72 dpi, 256 colors, with as few loops of animation as possible. Images
should be optimized to the lowest-possible bit depth
using Debabelizer or Photoshop. For optimal display, we recommend using the
browser-safe color palette. Fewer colors results in the sharpest and most
efficient ads.
Testing Ad Units
All ads must be tested prior to delivery to Filmtracks.com by the developer.
Filmtracks.com will not run ads for testing purposes by the developers or the
technology vendors. Any new technologies that an advertiser wishes to use must be
negotiated under a testing plan separate from the ad campaign.
All ads must be tested for compatibility with the following browsers and
platforms:
- Windows: IE5+ and Netscape 6+
- Mac: IE5.1+ and Netscape 6+
General Requirements
- Alternate Text: Please provide alternate text to be displayed in the
image's absence. Alternate text should be a short, informative description of the
banner, no more than 60 characters.
- Borders: Filmtracks.com does not use a standard border in its IMG tags;
ads should be bordered so as not to bleed into the background.
- Animation: There is no hard limit to the number of rotations in an animated ad, but maximum file sizes
must be observed.
- Submissions: Filmtracks.com has final approval for all ads with respect
to editorial/creative content. Filmtracks.com reserves the right to remove an
advertisement from its web sites at any time for any reason.
