With thousands of CDs on our shelves, the Filmtracks collection of film music CDs has been steady growing since CDs were first made commercially available in the 1980s. Every once in a while, we end up with multiple copies of certain collectible titles, or an excess of newly released titles. So, in order to help pay for Filmtracks' always-troublesome server costs, auctions of our excess CDs are held about once a year on this page. Because of Filmtracks' high standing in the film music community, you can be sure that our products are authentic and our service prompt. You can view the confident bidding in previous auctions at Filmtracks.

Unlike the confusing and technically unstable automated systems employed by other online auctions, the Filmtracks auction is personally handled by the site's webmaster. Every bid submission receives an affirmation response and you will receive personalized notices from the webmaster whenever your bids are overturned by another bidder. The system of bidding is open-ended, and somewhat different than those of most automated auctions; instead of having a definite end-date, the Filmtracks auction runs on a going-once, going-twice, "sold" system. For complete information about the process, consult the rules of the auction.

There are two major sections to every Filmtracks auction: the collectibles section and the regular releases section. Information about most CDs is provided, including cover art and track listings. All CDs are in mint condition unless otherwise noted. Be Aware: Filmtracks does not deal in illegal CDRs or bootlegs, unless the product was manufactured by the composer himself/herself. All the items listed below are original pressings by the record label listed. Filmtracks no longer offers the option of trades, since we need the money earned from the auction to pay server costs. Also Note: This isn't an auction service for third party sellers -- we're only auctioning off our in-house items at this time.

The greatest advantage of the Filmtracks auction (and the reason we simply don't use large online auction houses) is the personalized service and knowledge behind the process. You know who we are, and you can be confident that you'll get all the information about a release you're interested in. Enjoy!
