Collector's Corner

In 1995 and 1996, the film music CD collectible market was at its peak. Before CDrs reduced the average prices for most score rarities, the albums in the list below were, for a long time, considered the most valuable of them all. The rankings shown came out of U.S. Soundtracks on Compact Disc: The First Ten Years, a publication of Film Score Monthly. © 1995 Robert L. Smith (Edited/Published by Lukas Kendall). The relative prices listed are averages of how these particular albums sold. While originals can still sell for similar prices, you will not often see such prices after 1999. Some of these albums have been re-released since 1996, causing their value to decrease to near nothing.
