        Welcome to the headquarters for Filmtracks user comments. On many of the most popular review pages at Filmtracks, a forum is available for you to publish your opinions about those reviews or scores. While open for all to comment, Filmtracks reads and maintains the boards at all times, so off topic or downright rude and bizarre comments will be summarily deleted. If you want to discuss more general topics in the world of film music, use the Filmtracks ScoreBoard Forum for more active debate. More technical information about your ability to comment on Filmtracks review pages is provided below. Enjoy!

  The Filmtracks Comment Forums uses cookies to recognize you whenever you return to one of the forums. Once you type in your name, e-mail, and link information, the forums will recognize you from that moment on, and automatically set everything to your liking. The default format is organized by chronological thread, which is the easiest way to see all of the messages posted in the forum with a quick glance. When you return to the forums, they will automatically tell you which messages have been posted since your last visit (using a tag). You can also set the forum to send you e-mail notification when someone responds to one of your posts on the forum. When you post a message, your IP address will be displayed with the message, and you can view all other IPs as well. Times listed are in Pacific Standard Time.
  
  
  
• Posting Features:
  
  When you post a message, you have the option of including emoticons (little smiley faces). On the posting form, a list of available emoticons appear directly under the area where you type in your message. If you type ":)" the forums will automatically translate that into the happy-face emoticon, for example. You also have the option of writing text in bold, italics, red, etc, by using the special tags also available directly under the area where you type your message. Emoticons work in both the subject and message areas, while text characteristics such as the bold, italics, etc, only work in the message body.
  
  
  
• Archives:
  
  Messages older than six months are transferred to an archive system that may be made available at some time in the future, depending on the volume of comment posting.
  
  
  
• Rules:
  
  In return for not forcing participants to register, it is hoped that users will freely and honestly provide their real name and e-mail address. After all, we're only talking about soundtracks, not highly sensitive or controversial issues. A certain amount of decency is expected as well; certain words of poor taste are automatically filtered out of new posts. Along with the usual four-letter variety, some religious words (God, Jesus, etc) are filtered due to problems with religious propaganda in the past. Note: just because all of the religious words filtered out originate in the Christian faith does not mean that Filmtracks is anti-Christianity; it means that the religious propaganda often posted here has always been based in Christianity.
  
  A small list of other rules will be enforced on the board; the webmaster will summarily delete messages that:
  
  
  1. are deemed offensive (i.e. racist, sexist, etc...) in any possible way, whether directly or indirectly.
  2. are deemed juvenile and irresponsible, including such things as an excess of meaningless characters (%&^#*:%?*/!~@}|#$...), or posts that always end with (!!!!!).
  3. are deemed shouting by using ALL CAPITALS.
  4. are deemed disrespectful of another poster, or especially a composer or label producer.
  5. are deemed totally unrelated to soundtracks in any way, unless under extraordinary circumstances.
  6. are deemed to have any text written in a foreign language (the webmaster otherwise cannot protect others against threats he cannot read or understand).
  7. are deemed to be using obviously false e-mail addresses (especially in habitual use).
  8. are deemed related only to the apparently false identity of another poster.
  
  News announcements are welcomed, and announcements of auctions or sale lists will be accepted at a maximum of one per two weeks, per poster. Under extreme circumstances, a poster to the forum will be banned from further participation; it is the policy of Filmtracks to ban an individual from posting to the forum if complaints from five (5) other regular forum posters are received by the webmaster.
