Please do a review of Paul Smith's score for the 1954 20,000 LEAGUES!   Monday, February 27, 2006 (4:40 p.m.)

Hi,

I would REALLY like to see you do a new, serious review of the score composed by Paul J. Smith for the original, 1954 Disney version of 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA. Paul J. Smith was one of the finest and most underappreciated composers of his time, admired by his contempories but now forgotten, because he created music scores mostly for Disney films. This composer deserves a serious reaccessment -- for his standing among the film composers of the 1940s and 1950s, along with new reviews, especially for the majesticly beautiful score he composed for 20,000 LEAGUES. I hope you will consider writing a lengthy piece on Mr. Smith - he had a singular and unique voice in his musical compositions that made him stand out from many other composers of his time.
