The Complete Score Is Awesome   Friday, March 19, 2004 (2:36 p.m.)

I managed to get a copy of this bootleg from a buddy of mine....there's a few tracks that have OKAY sound to them, not the best in the world, but it's still enjoyable to listen to the whole thing. All the other tracks have good quality sound. Here's the track listings I think should have been more approriate for the score than some of the other track listings I've seen for the full score...and tracks 11, 14 and 15 on Disc I are the ones that have just OKAY sound..

Heehee..well I managed to get my hands on a good copy of Air Force One that has excellent sound...and I still believe this is a very good score...the only cue I exempted from the other bootleg was The Marshall Plan Part 2..but with the help of a friend him and I managed to clean it up quite a bit. Also I was wrong about which cues McNeely has done...but the properly marked ones that McNeely did are still good too. It's cool how McNeely managed to incorperate Goldsmith's style with his tracks.

Trent:

Does your score have what in my opinion is the best part of the entire score (the scene when Radek was killed?) - the Russian theme which I love Goldsmith for...I do have a expanded score, but without any part of that scene.

If you do, I would be interested in a copy.

You know, Goldsmith is so good at infusing Russian themes in his scores (remember when Ryan and Cabot were flying to Russia in the Sum of All Fears).

Thanks,
Ude

Re: The Complete Score Is Awesome   Monday, March 12, 2007 (3:46 p.m.)

I finally, after 5 years of searching, managed to obtain a copy of the expanded Air Force One Soundtrack. I actually had to obtain it in Moscow on a recent trip, go figure, lol. I know there are a lot of people out there dying to get a hold of this CD set. I just finished listening to it myself and the music quality is right there 100% and many of the major music cues from the film that had been missing are finally included, including the choral suites most notable in the jail scenes near the end of the movie towards Radek's release. For those of you who would rather not suffer as I for a 5 or so year search, please feel free to email me. I'm not quite sure about selling this album (even if they are legally sold in Russia), but while I examine that possibility I do know that I can definitely do some CD trades. So, come one come all, your Air Force One musical journey nears its end.
