Sure, the manga is a schizophrenic work with a whole bunch of weirdness, but it's honestly really funny and an entertaining read. Also, the goodbye scene is utterly fantastic no matter which medium you experience it in. "Ridiculous set of events" seems like a harsh way to describe it, given the heartbreak they put the reader/watcher through.

Also, agreed with the review of the score. An entertaining ride for sure.
