I havent' bought the soundtrack yet, but I surelly will.
Kust one question:
In thwe very first trailer for the film, that one with very little dialogue and that ended with Kida tlaking that creepy atlantean language(like in the end of the long trailer) there's apretty cool music in it.
It's not too melodc, but very mysterious with some kind of chimes in the background. Is the music of the first trailer in the cd?

I'm not sure about my answer, but I think the trailer music (for the first one) is one of James Newton Howard's latest musics.

does anyone know where the music for the first part of the trailer is from? Not the chimes part in the second half, the choral stuff in the beginning? I cant figure out where its from, and i cant find any information on it whatsoever.

The spectacular music you hear in the first trailer is made mostly of "The Submarine." The heavy snare, the triumphant music, (almost fanfare) the high trumpets you hear with the voices is from when they release the sub from its holders and then into that spectacular shot of the sub under water. Oh yea, and that was one of the "boring" pieces of music stated by some on this web page. The WHOLE album is good, even if its little bits and pieces that you have to listen to in tracks 1-9.

I believe that this music is actually from Rising Sun by Toru Takemitsu. The cd is out of print, but can usually be purchased on ebay or half.com.
