How about Howard Shore?
He did a wonderful work oh Lord of the Rings.
True, this is not a "Wagnerian" work, but so are most of Williams' last works.
Look at "Harry Potter", "A.I." "The Phantom Menace" and even "Attack of the Clones". These are much more subtle scores.
