Almost as good as the original?! Are you kidding me? It's missing something called DYNAMICS and FEELING. Wow, I really hate Midi. I don't understand how people in the 21st Century can still use it or listen to it.

Midi =

Well......   Thursday, December 18, 2003 (5:10 a.m.)

Well.......

I will say that it is called taste - but I don't know if you have hard it. If you can survive it you might find this to be rather good

OK, I did listen to it and it wasn't TOO bad. I just don't understand why anyone would settle for the MIDI version when you could have the real, LSO, full-symphony version...

Re: Well......   Wednesday, January 7, 2004 (8:27 a.m.)

i like to hear the orginal version and all other non-original versions - i like filmmusic very much. some times the non original versions have some cool tunes within which you can combine with the original version when humming the melodie. Some times the cover version are better or almost good as the original. I have a copy of a synhtesiser score to THE PHANTOM MENACE. number 10, PASSAGE THROUGH THE PLANET CORE are even better than the original. not that i am saying that this copy cd are better that the original cd becurse it is'nt. Bu anyway it's good to have many version of one music-cue.....

Re: Well ????   Tuesday, January 13, 2004 (7:50 a.m.)

Really ? Interesting, spectacular, perheaps, but as good... A synth is a synth, and they are fantastic and creative instruments if you make good use of them, but even today with the better midi technology and samples, tryng to duplicate an orchestra seems stupid to me. It lacks life, nuance, what makes music is music. Make me laugh, talk me about these synth version of Ravel's Bolero... "Covers" may be cool if they are inspired by another style of music (I like much of these cheesy 70' disco arrangements of Star Wars...), but Art is Art, and a poor copy remains a poor copy...

MIDI better than the orchestral original? Your mind-boggling stupidity astounds me once again.
