I don't really like this score,

Having said that, I must say there is one thing about it that I liked. In the movie there is a part where Batman just gets out of the pile of rubble and a really cool trumpet/horn motif plays for about two or three seconds. I love that, but as for the rest of the score I was dissapointed, I liked the movie (more than most), but neither the film nor the score can even be compared to the original. Elfman's work was just plain phenominal! I listen to that score all the time and its just amazing how the dark twisted part that made Batman great, started to deteriorate in Returns and just died in Forever. I just thought I would put in my two cents.

You took the word out of my mouth.....

This score can't be compare with Elfman's original.

My only favourite music-scene is the finale-scene where Batman and Robin are running closere to the screen (just before the U2 song). A great end, but terrible score.....

We agree on something, that finale part is awesome but still nothing compared to the finale of the original Batman film or even Spider-Man!

Well, if you're in the right mood this score is interesting.
But it's best to try Elliot's other scores like
Michael Collins or Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

And I have not heard "FINAL FANTASY: THE SPIRITS WITHIN" yet.

But I have heard "A L I E N 3" and I like that...

"Final Fantasy", I find, is much like all the Goldenthal scores I've heard: You really have to be in the right mood to enjoy it. But it's definitely better than Batman Forever... more consistent sounding (if that makes sense).
