I just don't care what people say about Horner's scores. He is good, not the best. I'm a Horner fan but I realize that William is the best composer.
Could Williams has scored for Braveheart, Titanic or even A Beautil Mind as Horner scored? No.
On the other hand, I think Horner couldn't composed scores like Schindler's List, ET, Jaws , so well done by Williams.
So let's stop comparing Horner with Williams.
People only say Horner borrows from himself. So it should be something to Horner's lovers brag about. And, don't forget: Musical genius like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, and, of course, Strauss have in his works cases in wicht they were inspired by his own previous compositions. This is the right way to say, not borrow from himself.
But the true is, the more Horner scores, the more he gets better.
Horner's passion is the reason I'm a Horner fan.
Williams's talent is the reason I'm a Williams fan.
