My opinion for the music score of A Beautiful Mind.   Thursday, June 17, 2004 (1:31 p.m.)

When I saw the DVD, I was so impressed with the music that I was hearing, that I had to go out and get the music CD. The way the music was written was so great in sound as well as all of the different instruments and voice features that were used. Most scores I don't even bother with, but this one was so "deep", which is what I enjoy in this type of music instead of all this other stuff that is written today. I like the repetition and a main underscore theme that is carried throughout. This adds to the mood and in this picture, it was perfect. This inspired me to do some of my own writting which I have never done before but have experience in other areas of music. I could listen to this CD over and over and never get tired of it. The main parts or instruments that impressed me besides the orchestra were the piano, chimes, voice and woodwinds. My experience is mostly with orchestral work. I am not too familiar with voice. Anyway, it was a great and moving score in the way that it was written and left a wonderful impression on me. Thank you.
