Well, I just bought it. I went to their site to order The Goonies and thought I'd browse around first to see what else I could add to their order. I've been out of the soundtrack loop for a while. The Indiana Jones, Superman, Back to the Future and now The Goonies releases have brought me back after many years of not buying soundtracks. I haven't taken the time to view every site's soundtrack back catalog though so I was surprised to see Big was ever released. I really was not aware so much mining of old scores for new releases had been going on. I would have bought it before if I knew! I was even more surprised to see I missed the release of Karate Kid. I went straight to eBay for that one since it was sold out on Varese and that was one of my most wanted scores ever. I also grabbed Short Circuit, Lucas and Broadcast News from Varese's site. I'm all too happy to give them some extra sales as thanks for finally, albeit belatedly releasing Goonies. I just wish I hadn't missed out on Predator that's now going for $200. I wish they would have done these as open-ended releases like Back to the Future without a strict limited edition. It's all well and good to finally get the score out there but why does it have to instantly be made out-of-print again for those of us who come late to the party?
