Seriously, I really doubt that the Reviewer ever listened to the Goldeneye-Cue.
While the original chase cue as 'composed' and performed by Serra is indeed an hard thing to swallow, and it couldn't possibly be orchestrally salvaged by even the best performers and the best orchestra.
But the six-minute cue as featured on this CD is not by Serra. Indeed, some with a sane mind who was involved in the production of the film decided that Serra was going too far with this one, kicked the cue out and hired orchestrator John Altman to write a new, fully orchestral chase cue. And its FAR better than the original version and fortunately featured on this CD. I even think that its an predecessor of David Arnolds later scores (minus the electronics).
