Braveheart music   Tuesday, March 25, 2003 (5:13 p.m.)

My school symphonic band is performing an arrangement of this score and it was the first time i had heard it. I am a huge Horner fan but i spent most of my money on his other scores like "A Beautiful Mind" and "Willow" but this score is excellent. I have a solo on the part where the bagpipes play on the main titles, and it is freaking hard but so extremely fun to play. I say Bravo Horner you have managed to write another of my favorite soundtracks and i must buy it now. I cannot wait.

I was speaking about the soundtrack, but, I have no idea where my teacher got the arrangement we played in band. I know it was arranged by Jonnie Vinson though. It included "Main Titles", "Attack on Muron", "For The Love Of A Princess", "Mornay's Dream", and "Bannockburn". I hope that helps...

It's a very good score indeed, but I'll add that the main theme features the Uileann pipes, not the bag pipes. People mix those up all the time.

===============
in this context scots and irish are the same people, we shared the same mythology, language , religion and culture, you did notice in Braveheart where the irish soldiers understood wallace when he spoke to them in Gaelic.
