Brokwback Mountain Score   Monday, January 23, 2006 (11:40 a.m.)

I believe this score is a masterpiece, and it captured the feelings, the mood, theschenere perfectly, from someone who has been in Wyoming, and had a son who wanted to be a cowboy, something he didn't accomplish in his short 22 years, dying in an auto accident. He would have loved this movie and this score especially since he did an internship in college at a sheep ranch in New Mexico and went to ranch camp for three years in Cody Wyoming.

WHERE IS THE SCORE SHEET MUSIC AND ARRANGEMENTS AVAILABLE??? I have searched online for sheet music to download for piano/guitar/vocal.

I don't agree with you evaluation of this music because I listen to the Soundtrack several times every day and feel it deserved the awards so far. Choce of performers are perfect except for Rufus Wainwright. Could have more Willy Nelson: He was a Friend of Mine was superb.

actually, I'm lookin for it too... NOT for the guitar section. I need it for violin... i'm not too familiar with playing music and I don't really feel like figuring it out myself (LAZY!), but I could, I'm sure. If anyone knows where to find it, PLEASE let me know... thanks!

Re: Brokwback Mountain Score   Tuesday, May 16, 2006 (8:14 p.m.)

The main theme seems to be

dm C C/G - G

It is primarily some simple rhythmic stylings on the guitar chords. The melody seems to just provide harmony notes.

I haven't listened carefully, just watched the movie.

My cousin's getting married and she wants me to play at her wedding. I was thinking of improvising something Brokeback-ish on the guitar, without trying to play verbatim whatever the guitarist did on the actual soundtrack.

You obviously didn't even take the time to understand the gravity of the original poster's remarks about her deceased son. You should be ashamed of your coarseness and unkindness. Absolutely unbelievable. Reading your response was an assault to both intelligence and good manners.

>Does anyone know if there is a full version of the score somewhere? I have the soundtrack, but it only provides the score snippit at a time. I would love to hear to this all strung together. Is this possible?
