Best Williams Score   Sunday, July 20, 2003 (8:27 a.m.)

This is the best Williams score I have ever heard. The sax solos are unbelievable, with a good vibrophone to back that up, it gets better from the moment you turn it on. My favorite track though is track 4 Recollections, the track is the most emotional and beautiful thing I have heard in a while. This theme the Fathers Theme is a sad one but I love it. The other themes are quite good too. I like Williams approach to this score, a lot different from his recent films, he takes the non big band sound and makes it into a small but distinct sax, vibrophone and string group it is Williams best score written, and it should have gotten an oscar.

Tim, I'm sorry but I have to disagree, I think this score is wonderful and compliments the film very well, but to say its the best score Williams has ever written, thats going a little far. What about Hook or Harry Potter, Jaws, Star Wars. There are so many that have to go ahead of it. And as for the oscar, i'm sorry but I disagree again, Thomas Newman should have gotten it for "Road to Perdition".
