Harry Potter SUCKS   Saturday, November 16, 2002 (3:40 p.m.)

I adore Williams. My favorite composer ever! But his potter music is once again so unoriginal and uninspired. To hell with it; I'm going to listen to Hook again! Bye!

Re: Harry Potter SUCKS   Sunday, November 17, 2002 (4:35 p.m.)

Querido amigo Joseph Daniels:

Atreus.

Loved friend Joseph Daniels:

I have of decirte that I have remained with the little musical culture agape which you have demonstrated to have while you boast that you understand of John Williams or of OSTs. That you know, fool, that the sound track of Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s Stone is one of the best ones than has composed Johnnie in last ten years, and is all a return to his great rememorables classic works and, in which apparently Johnnie began to decay after Jurassic Park or Schindler´s List. The music of Harry Potter is everything a show of fantasy and true musical magic, with truely fastuosas orquestrales masses and a dominion of the multiple composition as has not used in much long time.

That you know that to me I like neither books nor films of Harry Potter, but for understood in OSTs a this is completely irrelevant. Perhaps you, foolish, hate the films of Harry Potter and therefore, you hate that the Johnnie teacher makes its music. And that is to understand of John Williams, or in its extension, of music?

Therefore, friend Joseph Daniels, I will recommend to you that you learn to criticize; or almenos to expose your opinions explaining the causes and with certain coherence and musical reasoning; of a comprehensible way. Zafios and vulgar commentaries of the stature of "Harry Potter SUCKS" really stink out from all the points of view.

a greeting, and I hope that one does not become to repeat. And that the next time notices that you like John Williams.

Atreus.

Atreus,

You're forgetting Saving Private Ryan and Amistad as great Williams scores. They are not the traditional "Hollywood" variety, but they are great nonetheless because they fit the settings of each film and deliver an inspiring score.

Joseph,

Saying art objects "suck" is rather meaningless unless one says in detail WHY something "sucks." Of course, when you're done with the reasons, you may even want to go back and change the word "suck" to something with a little less of a perverted etymology and connotation.
