Well written, Christian. You've reflected my opinion of this score perfectly. It's an enjoyable listen from November to December, and completely intolerable otherwise due to the reliance on traditional Christmas melodies. I didn't really expect it from THIS particular film, but A Christmas Carol is still a bit disappointing in that the action music doesn't hold a candle to Van Helsing or The Mummy Returns or even Beowulf. After G.I. Joe was such a let-down...We want Silvestri back
