Cliffhanger was a good action flick that inspired composer Trevor Jones to create a highly entertaining score. The main theme is one of Jones' very best compositions and it is developed wonderfully throughout the score. Outside of the theme the score does contain some very exciting action music, some of which reminds me bit of Alan Silvestri's Predator.

All in all this is one of my favourite scores from Jones. The main theme and action music are first class and the performance of The London Philharmonic is powerful. Highly recommendable score to the action score fans out there.
