About "Fire in Brooklyn Theatre"   Friday, October 3, 2003 (10:36 a.m.)

When I saw the movie for the first time few years ago on tv, I couldn't believe my ears that this fragment of music from "Fire in a Brooklyn Theatre" is Edelman's piece - it was a very pleasent surprise, since I heard this music dozen times in trailers etc. However I think that this motif is very similar in structure to the music used in LOTR:FOTR trailer that was a bit famous then and many people was asking "What kind of music is this?", if I'm not wrong composed by group "Gothic Power". Anyone knows what was the first, Edelman's score or this piece?

I don't know anything about a group named "Gothic Power" but Randy Edleman's score for "Come See the Paradise" is from 1990 so I would venture to say it came first. It would be interesting to find out who many trailers "Fire in a Brooklyn Theatre" has been used for. The first time I noticed it was in the "Clear and Present Danger" trailer.
