FYI

In 1955 Bernard Herrmann composed the film score for "The Kentuckian". Listening to the first 50 seconds of the suite, available on "The Inquirer: The Bernard Herrmann Anthology, volume 3", it reminded me of a major motif/theme heard in the score for Conan the Barbarian composed by Basil Poledouris in 1982.
