Finally got to listen to Da Vinci last night and liked it a lot. Yep, it had some structure of Batman Begins in there, but it was really good. For a more subtle score, however, I think it lacked the power/grace that The Thin Red Line had. Be that as it may, it was still a fantastic score. I really like that last Zimmer cue that CC called "the best 4 minutes of Zimmer's career" even though I wouldn't go that far -- I still think there were moments in Thin Red Line, Beyond Rangoon and even Tears of the Sun that were better....but it's certainly a great track!

Again, a very fair review by CC. It gets a little old to hear people bitch and whine about a score review....Kind of like if Roger Ebert said a film sucked but you really like it-- obviously, who cares??? It's just interesting to get someone's insight on it, that's all. That's why this is such a great site, because his ideas are different than your own sometimes!!!
