  One Cue

I was fortunate enough to meet Maestro Debney last night and he brought with him the cue to the final race. He said that the majority of the movie was solo piano music that really worked, but wasn't anything compared to that cue. He brought a copy of the scene and let us check out scores.... I'll tell you what, man. That cue would be worth waiting through the whole movie for. I still can see my Dad the way his eyes would get wide and his face would light up he'd start cheering so much that I'd wanna stick a cork in him. That was goose-bump music if I've ever heard it. Maestro Debney has a wonderful understanding of film and how to make them better, he has a true passion for the story and easily recognizes the moments that can really make a film great. I really look forward to hearing more of his music. I believe he has the potential to be another Goldsmith in that he will last as long as his life will allow him.
