I think that this score is excellent due to the outstanding use of brasses, creative and virtuoso use of strings, the ethereal choir and because of Jem' s beautiful song. On one hand, this score perfectly suits to the main themes of the movie and the book - friendship, the importance for helping to each other, and the necessity to not flee from seemingly hopeless situations, but rather try to solve them. On the other hand, it also reflect to the darker side of life - that there are hardships in life, there are battles which must be fought to achieve a goal.
