  Excellent score

This score contains heavy Irish influence due to the fact that its main character is an Irish immigrant who lives in the USA.There are relaxing themes which reflect to is the beauty of nature and landscape and to the natural lifestyle of the Irish. There are tracks which are full of soaring energy, vivid and playful rythms and tunes that are played by Irish instruments such as fiddles and Uillean Pipes. These cues illustrate intensity of the box matches of Joseph Donnelly, who is boxing to maintain his financial needs. There are some darker tunes which are menacing and omenous. These tracks reflect to the confrontations of Donelly with those people who are jealous to him,and to the parents of his love, who came from Ireland to USA to save their daughter from such a scapegrace man,and to the scenes that are filled with dramatic content. There are also sad and elegiac tracks to reflect to the hardships of the life of Donelly and his love, and the losses of certain characters of the movie. There are also uptempo scherzos which lend you the feeling that each cloud has a silver lining, and illustrate the victories of Donelly at the boxing matches, and other uplifting experiences of his life.Highly recommended.
