Bernstein and Temp Scores |

I went to the L.A. pre-release screening of the film at the Egyptian, which featured appearances by Julianne Moore, Todd Haynes, and Elmer Bernstein. Bernstein said that he hated scoring films that had been temp-tracked, and that his initial reponse was to decline the assignment when his agent mentioned that it was temped. His agent replied that he'd like the music used, since it was his own score for "To Kill a Mockingbird" that had been used.
