  Field of Dreams 2 stars?!?!

As an avid soundtrack collector, I was glad to come across this site. I found that I agreed with the reviews about 95% of the time, and this helped me in acquiring more soundtracks that I had always been curious about, as well as others that I was unaware of. I am a composer myself, and I've found the reviews to be, if nothing else, educated and insightful.

That's why I was stunned when I, just out of curiosity, read the review for 'Field of Dreams',a soundtrack I've had since the film's release. I'm certainly no 'blind' acolyte of Horner, and I think he's 'mailed in' his share of scores, but this definitely ain't one of them! It has some of the most beautiful melodies I've ever heard; and besides contributing perfectly to the film(the first requirement for any score),it's a great listening experience on its own.

I rarely give out 5 stars for any score, and the reluctance to do so here is something I like about this site, but this, for me, is one of them. I realize that opinion and taste are a large portion of ratings, especially when making the difference between 4 and 5 stars...but TWO stars?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
After listening to some of the scores you've given 4 and even 3 stars to, I simply cannot understand where you are coming from on this one. Oh well; no sight's perfect, but this is a real black mark in my book. Another is no reviews for Philippe Sarde, especially 'Quest for Fire' one of the most under-rated scores of all time. IMO
