Usually scores such as this, "Ransom", "The Forgotten", "The Pelican Brief" and other low-key, dissonant, 'cold' scores aren't very highly regarded...perhaps it's the lack if distinct thematic material, or the lack of big excitement, I don't know.

I find these scores to be very enjoyable and they receive the most attention during the evening hours, and for whatever reason, the cold, uneasy atmosphere they create seems best suited to this time of year- mid-November, where the days are shorter, the weather colder, and everything has this shade of gray. It may sound strange, but it's one way of listening to music I find interesting and enjoyable.
