Of course the vocals will difficult for some because of style and origin
BUT, after a couple of minutes it makes absolute sense. The vocals do
complement Horner's music very well. I have been an admirer of James
for quite some time despite his tendency to reuse material but then
so does Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, etc. Composer use
certain techniques and instruments which do become cliched after awhile.
But this reaffirms that when James puts the effort he can create great
music even if he reshapes older material. I am looking forward
to his score for Mel Gibson's The Passion among his future projects.
