Comments about the soundtrack for Frida (Elliot Goldenthal)
Promo Score

Promo Score   Monday, May 3, 2004 (1:17 a.m.)

I love this score and recently found a Academy Awards Promo copy consisting of 18 tracks of score. There are 3 tracks on the promo score that are not included on the commercial release. They are called "Entrata And Adagio", "Rockefeller Center Meltdown", and "Frida's Letter". Three great extra tracks. The other tracks on the promo are the score tracks from the commercial release and the Goldenthal penned song "Burn It Blue". This promo is highly recommended if you come across it pick it up. Although I must admit that even though I love promo scores because they usually add missing score tracks I would like to hear, Frida is both likeable on commerical release and promo. It is nice to have the listening experience with the songs incorpoated because they are all quite good. Goldenthal definately deserved the awards he won for this.
