This time, I dont understand filmtracks rating.
You give 3-star to the VARESE Original Re-recording and 5 for the limited one, but from your review it's clear the re-recording version (and I am not talking now about SOUND QUALITY) is best. So, if BOTH edition do contain the RERECORDING, both should be 4-5 stars!
I thought you were rating THE NEW LIMITED VARESE ALBUM, not just all the editions out there. So, if it is 5 STARS, it is 5 STARS. To rate the score AS HEARD IN FILM (i.e., as heard in the ORIGINAL SCORE recording now available with VARESE CLUB LTD ED) and then the rerecording distinctly is another matter. But doing that with the 2 albums and give the older one only 3 STARS sounds a little silly to me.
Anyway, if this album/score/rerecording/edition/WHATEVER does not deserve a 5 STAR rating, what does?
