  Diamond in the rough


The review is spot-on. Hancock is not a bad listen, however the "Death and Transfiguration" track is the undisputed highlight (and really worked well at pumping up the climax of the film). Derivative it may be, but I still get a kick of the build up and release of the cumulative elements - and Powell's ability to have it so that even the wind instruments deliver a critical note to the rousing theme.
