• In Response to: Re: Academy Award (Michael Arlidge)

  Your book

Dear Mr. Arlidge,
I tried to email you at the bond email addie, but my emailcame back undelivered. Folowing is the message I sent you in the email;

I very much want to have a copy of your Bond book with the dedication to Michael. I am wyer from the message board. I was greeter and did welcomes there, and grew to love Mr. Kamen very much. He has given me strength and inspiration with the chemo and radiation I am going through. He even emailed my husband with a message to bring to me at the hospital saying I did not go through this without his love and support. How many celebrities take the time to do such a thing?

I miss him more than I can say, and few days have gone by since his passing from this world that I did not cry. I did not love him as a fan loves a star. I have actually heard only very few of his compositions. I grew to love him as a person through my interaction with him on the message forum and through email. He did not have a proper message forum when I first found his page, and I suggested he make a place for his fans to come together. It just grew from there, with Sam Barton programming the board and launching it. I signed up right away.

When the book goes to the publisher, if it is not released in USA, I would gladly pay for you to ship me one from there.

I would be honored also if you autographed it, but if that is not possible that is okay.

Thank you for doing this. It means a lot to those who love him to know people care enough to do these kinds of things. I am not a rich person (especially with me on leave from work and paying deductibles on medical bills) so I cannot make a large donation to Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, but buying your book will be my donation.

Wishing you good luck on the sale of your book and I will help promote it in any way I can, as in posting information about it on my message board and my web page.

Yours,

wyer aka Ruthie Pfueller
