I don't have the soundtrack but it sounds okay. Not great but okay. All I want to know is where is the Grim Grinning Ghosts theme and wouldn't this have been such a better album with Elfman scoreing.

This is just the promo album in case the Academy (or the Golden Globes) wanted to consider it for a nomination this year (which it didn't). It's a comercial album and not meant to buy by the public or anything. There would be no need for "Grim Grinning Ghosts" on a promo b/c Mark Mancina didn't compose that song (that honor goes to Buddy Baker and F. Xavier Atencio).

If your looking for "Grim Grinning Ghosts" the song, it is found on the comercial album called The Haunted Mansion: Haunted Hits http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000UJM3Q/102-9043088-3493758?v=glance .

Sadly, that album has only one small track of the score (the overture) and the verses of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" are out of order (from the ride's version). The remaining tracks are useless pop songs that had so relation to the movie what-so-ever (most didn't even appear in the movie at all).

If you're looking for a recording of the 'ride' music (Includign the John Debney EuroDisney version), you might try looking for this collectable album.

Hope that helps.
