I am and I will always be a fan of James Newton Howard. I like almost all of the scores he has composed, and this one isn't an exception. Hidalgo is inside the ten best scores he has composed till the date. The "Montage" track is by far the best of all. I also enjoyed "Arriving At The Desert" and of course "Don't Waste Your Money". Obviously I don't agree with the guy who said that Howard is a mediocre composer. And this score is one of the proof. Entertaining, original, thematic. A wonderful piece of work. A must-have-score in a Howard collection.
