More than any other score I've heard, this one has risen in my estimation. Upon first listen I struggled painfully to get through it. Something subconscious must have started working, however, because every time I gave it a spin afterwards I enjoyed it more.

After 8-10 listens it's now a fixture in my 'all-time best' pile of Jerry's works.

Mathematics is the key to understanding this score. Learning to enjoy it is like solving an equation and is something that will increase your range of appreciation. Try listening to its permutations and combinations.

It is a work of absolute genius that ranks with Planet of the Apes.

I really understand those who don't like it - I was exactly the same at first - but a little effort, a little expansion of mind, was all I needed to comprehend Hollow Man's true beauty.
