In the film The Hours, there is a scene where Meryl Streep is in her apartment preparing for the dinner party and listening to a recording of Strauss' "Four Last Songs". It is such beautiful music. The doorbell rings and she turns off the CD player and answers the door. I hate that she turns off the music. Does anybody know whose recording it is in the film? Maybe Kiri Te Kanawa? If anyone knows for sure, I would love to know.
