I really enjoyed Ottman's recent Hide and Seek, so that got me excited about this score. I have seen the film and admittedly the score does tend to pass you by as no strong dominant theme exsits (intertwined with those horrible thrash metal songs that directors feel have to be in modern horror films), but pick up the varese album and listen though it a few times and the score really picks up. There's the usual horror licks, but Ottman's clever use of choir and organ are excellent as well as some great heavy percussion action stuff! Can't wait for Ottman's Fantastic Four!
