Nomatter what critics say, I still think that the hunchback of notre dame is disney's most underrated masterpiece ever....i mean come on, dark and disturbing? I was 11 when I first watched it, and it was love at first sight...the score was beautiful and intense, the visuals stunning and highly detailed..and most of all, I could identify with Quasimodo's yearnings to be "out there" Even as a kid I had no problem with the darker than usual themes, in fact if it was any sappier I wouldnt have liked it. By comparison the recent disney offerings have left me unimpressed...this movie will always be my all time favourite
