A Beautful Mind   Sunday, May 10, 2015 (12:28 p.m.)

I was at a question & answer with James Horner at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and someone in the audience mentioned that this score reminded him a lot of A Beautiful Mind.

James answered that the score was temped with Beautiful Mind, and the producers were not exactly helpful to Alexandre Desplat in letting him develop his own unique score.

Horner also talked a lot about how while temp scores help editors and producers, when they get to the point they cant imagine anything else or they edit the movie to the beats in the temp, how difficult it can be for the composer to get through.
