Zimmer + Glennie Smith + + + = MV   Tuesday, July 27, 2004 (2:06 p.m.)

I noticed that Zimmer scores are Better when he's doing it with his friend from MV.
Like The Rock ( with Glennie Smith and H G Williams )

And sometimes other MV composers create a score that sounds Like zimmer.
eg. Klaus Badelt->Pirates Of Th Carribean or

Nick Glennie Smith-> Man In The Iron Mask

So i dont know if Zimmer is so good and they rip of him all the time or its
just His quiet colaboration with the others MV composers that makes their scores so Good.

Anyway Zimmers Rocks!!! King Arthur score IS GREAT it kills my Speakers but its worth !!! I must buy A larger set i think !!!

Have you ever noticed that working with certain people often brings out the best in yourself...that's what I find...I believe Hans Zimmer is simply doing that...also..what about "That Last Samurai" was that not a awesome solo score by Zimmmer...ohh wait...where's Glennie-Smith, or Gregson Williams? Hans Zimmer proves yet again he can write beautiful music by himself as well as give opportunities for other composers to come up in this incredibly difficult buisness.

Another good example of this kind of collaboration would be Trevor Rabin and Harry Gregson-Williams with their Armageddon score (IMHO anyway) - and I'm sure they use some of Zimmer's deep male vocals in some sections.

Those were samples, every composer in MV have them. Heck you could buy them yourself. Try Symphony of Voices.

Actually, you look like you do not know that Geoff Zanelli wrote parts of that score. Making it not a solo score by Hans Zimmer.

You do know that Zimmer only composed the theme for The Rock? The rest was Glennie-Smith and some parts were Gregson-Williams. Also The Chase cue was Don Harper.

The problem lies with the directors or producers of the movies they are scoring. By they I mean MV composers. They all have there own style but they are asked to score movies like Zimmer.
