I have to admit, I did know even know John Scott for a long time, but when I discovered his work some time ago, I was blown away by "King Kong Lives!"

I completely agree with the reviewer - the orchestral power, the themes, the instrumentation - an absolutely overwhelming experience, it deserves the five points.

I really recommend checking out his other scores (at least the better known ones), especially "The Final Countdown", "Anthony and Cleopatra" and "Greystoke". John Scott is/was (is he still alive?) a great composer!
