I have heard this album for about 1,5 months now. And it went straight into my top 5 of all time. I'm not saying that you guys have the wrong taste but I have all the scores zimmer has done since the beginning and i'm a huge fan.

This movie came out exakly in the right time for the oscars next year. I haven't seen the picture yet but maybe this score is to good for the movie cos its great. Howard shore can't get nominated anmore for his LOTR and after that only don davis (in my opinion) stands in zimmer way to get an oscar. Maybe i'm forgetting some composers now but I've heard almost every score who was released this year and The Last Samurai is far better than the others.

I really hope zimmer gets his award this time.
