  Why Zimmer and Glennie-Smith scored this movie


In 2003 the filmmakers saw a German tv show. One of the guests was Hans Zimmer. He was asked why he didn't score german movies. He replied that nobody asked him to do this. Later the filmmakers watched Last Samurai in cinema and again the music was composed by Zimmer. So they decided to write him a letter in which they told him that they feel like "last samurais" and that they want that he scores Lauras Stern...
