I think Jerry Goldsmith' s score for Legend is fine, but it is not because the level of harmony ( he wrote better scores which is better composed in case of harmony ), but it is because the interesting solutions which he made with the help instruments. Personally, I haven' t seen the film, but I think it should be a real unique one - just as the music. My favourite track is the first, because it is so mysterious and full of magic, wonder, tension that you can easily imagine a magical place. The bigger part of the score is suitable for relaxing, but it doesn' t mean the tracks which were written for the Dark Lord is bad! They are also good on their own right. To put it in a nutshell, i don' t like the music for its level of harmony - but rather for the interesting solutions whic Goldsmith' s made with the help of the instruments.
