i am still madly in love with this music!   Thursday, June 27, 2002 (8:46 a.m.)

I have been in love with this score since the moment it hit my hands in 1994. Since then, i have bought so many copies of the tape because i WEAR them out and several copies of the cd. i am never without it- it is calming, inspiring, moving, and overwhelmingly beautiful. I fell in love with James Horner because of this piece! I HATE it when i go to the movies and there are excerps from the score for the preview of another film- it makes me so mad and i usually don't want to see the film because if they can't be original in the music they compose for the film, what does that say about the film itself? It is , however, a compliment to Horner for creating something so wonderful and deeply touching. I was excited to see that someone is using "The Ludlows" for their wedding- I, too will be using this piece! It is quiet, passionate and warm and so delicate- perfect for a wedding. Anyway- what a great place to find all you who love this score as much as I- it is welcome company anytime.

Trailer with James Horner music   Thursday, November 7, 2002 (5:16 a.m.)

Sometimes they use other music because they don't want to give away the music they composed for the actual film before the release of this movie, or sometimes they just haven't finished the score when the trailer is already showing. Don't let this keep you away from the actual film. Because maybe the score for that movie is good too or it's just a good movie and than you have missed it.

My sister is using The Ludlows for her wedding too... must be an epidemic. I am actually playing it on my violin with piano accompaniment from my other sister. If you read my response to "I think this score is overrated...", then you may have guessed that.
