I cannot agree with the gentleman who wrote the review. The thing with Horner's score to this movie, is the overall theme sounds very close to the theme from his score to movie with Julia Andrews.
The score, see, when it comes to dark films, I really especially liked the piano in there. The guy has to realize the lingering held-back piano theme is held back because I think it resembles Uma's character being held back by the horrors of that one day.
This is one of those scores that is well done because Horner specializes in pianos chalk full of heavy emotion. It needed to be this out-of-this-world sort of feeling when listened to, because those memories kept her locked in a past she so desperately wanted to get out of.
The synthisizers did get anoying, but the piano I could not get enough of.
