Try to listen "The Mummy Returns" (Silvestri) after "Cutthroat Island" (Debney) and you see who plagiarize others.....

"both Elfman and Zimmer are good composers but wouldn't win any award while they continuing plagiarize their/others scores..."

In fact Zimmer was nominated and won several times for diverses awards including 2 golden globes for "plagiarize scores" as you said.... and i guarantee you he will won more ....
And isnīt Silvestri who wasnīt even nominated for an award since Contact (golden globe nomination) .....
